Hi Sherrie, My direct ancestor is an Elizabeth Toms/Tombs/Tomes born in Whaddon, Buckinghamshire in 1811, dau of William Toms and Hannah Jones. I haven't done a lot on this family, but haven't found any John Toms yet.
