Hi All I am new to the list Was wondering if any one has any info on the following or who is able to possibly do a look up for me please. I am hunting for a James Ashby born abt 1799-1805 possibly in Stony Stratford His possible parents were married in 1801 in Castle Thorpe, Bucks and they ended up in Bugbrooke by 1805 where they had a son named John Ashby bp in Bugbrooke. Hi Julie I don't have a bap in Stony Stratford for your James ASHBY (but that's because I haven't specifically picked up the name when going through the registers), and no ASHBY burials either, but I have these marriages that might just be of interest. If your ASHBY line links back to Northampton in the early-mid 17th century, or had any links with NELSONs, I'd be interested to talk more about that. Why do you think James was born in Stony? Is that from census info? Might he have been from somewhere else, perhaps nearby?
