Hello all, I am new to this list and have subscribed as I have found there to be a high concentration of DARVELLs, albeit different variations, in the Bucks area. I have searched the I.G.I. listings to no avail hence my post, this is a brick wall for me. I am hoping someone on the list is researching the DARVILL/E/ELL family line and may have my man in their family tree as father/brother/sibling. Or failing that, a Buckinghamshire Baptism C.d. 1765-1780, a Bucks Marriage C.D 1785-1815, a Bucks. Burial C.D. 1800-1822 which may have my man on file or his 1st wifes burial. I am looking for my g.g.g.grandfather Jacob DARVILL/E/ELL b.c1771. I have his 2nd marriage in 1823 to Catherine ALLOWAY at St.Marylebone (Pallot's M.I ) His surname was then written DARVELL, he was a widower and she a spinster. On the 1841census, HO107/679/9/ 25/8 his surname is DARVILL and address is:- 15 Little Harcourt Street, Marylebone, Middx. occupation Coachmaker. age 70, he is born out of the County, he is living with:- Catherine age 35 ?? ( I thought this was his daughter until I found them on the Pallot's M.I.), she also is not born in the County. Samuel age 20 - Male Servant, born in the County Thomas age 15 - Shop boy, also born in the County (my g.g.grandfather) I am aware that some of these ages are probably rounded down, but I also have Jacob's death cert. in Dec 1847, age 77yrs which means that his birth c.1771 is probably correct. I'm sorry this is such a long post, but I would appreciate any help or advice sks is able to give me. Many thanks for your time, April in Somerset

Tring's in Hertfordshire, so you're more likely to find someone with access to the records on the that list. keith hammond wrote: > Hi, > i wonder if any kind person has access to any hertfordshire burial records for TRING parish ? i am looking for 3 burials please > > 1 THOMAS HORN or HORNE between 1841 and 51 > 2 Horn or Horne wife of Thomas between 1830 - 41 > 3 James Horn or horne 1889. > > > Any help at all would be so very kind indeed as i live in Malta.Thank you so much. > > > Keith in Malta. > _____________________________________________ > > Have you considered adding "postems" to "your" events on www.freebmd.org.uk , giving your contact details? Thanks for that Graham. I think it is probably Long Marston. In 1841 census Henry says he was born in Herts and then in 1851 Marston, Bucks. Unfortunately he dies before the 1861 census, so I cannot get any further verification. I have had dealings with border parishes in the past and it is obvious that some people are not always sure which county they are in. Hello, My name is Ron Hamilton and I am trying to trace the son of the lady below. His name is Anthony J Watts and he was born in Colchester, Essex in 1940. Anthony is my 3rd cousin. Here are his mother's death details: England & Wales, Death Index: 1984-2005 Name: Ella Watts Birth Date: 23 May 1911 Death Registration Month/Year: Apr 1997 Age at death (estimated): 85 Registration district: Aylesbury Vale Inferred County: Buckinghamshire Register number: A20C Entry Number: 1 Is there anyone on this site who may be able to help me? I was thinking along the lines of where my cousin might be buried. Any records at the local cemetery. Newspaper records etc. Local directories that might locate Anthony. I am basing this last item on the fact that he was living in Aylesbury when his mother died. Any help/advice would be really appreciated. Thanks, Ron Hamilton Woodley, Cheshire.

Hi Listers, Not being that familiar with districts in the county of Bucks I wonder if I have the right information. My ancestor John YELF born 1802 IOW and a tailor, married a Harriett MARTIN born Bucks. They have several children and are living in Mill Field ETON Bucks.on the 1841 Census. After that date (1841) I have been unable to find the family except for several births and deaths with the surname YELF in Windsor which I understand is in Bucks. John YELF was not married in Hampshire according to the searches I have done so I am hoping that he may have married Harriett MARTIN in Bucks. around 1830, I do not know which district she came from though. I did not find any of the family on the 1851 Census but a death entry for a John YELG Sept 1855 in Eton. Also hoping that church records might pinpoint the births and deaths that I have found on free BMD.
