Hi Mark, I have offered to do some 1851 look ups to ease the rush.... However I dont have any other Bucks census and wondered what else you might have that might have any of my "tibb(e)ys" on it please. they were almost exclusively in Wendover and London....They seemed to run between the two. thanks, pen
Before people get too enthusiastic re. doing this type of look-up - IF the source of the data is from CDs then you need to read the license agreement that is associated with the CD and software, and which anyone installing has agreed legally to abide by. They almost exclusively give the user rights of use for Personal puposes ONLY, and so offering to do 'free' look-ups as a service would be in breach of this. I don't think generally the publishers mind people doing occasional look-ups when enquiries are posted - but advertising doing it as a service is potentially a different thing. They married in Hazlemere in 1886, but I could not find them in a street by street search of the area in 1891, so I wonder whether they moved elsewhere in the county. From 1869 Post Office Dirctory (Rod Neep's Archive CD) In Aylesbury there is listed under private residences: Mrs. HORWOOD Buckingham Road Mr. Thomas HORWOOD, esq, Church Street The "esquire" suggests he was more than a gardener, perhaps some one more knowledgable than I would be able to clarify what you had to be for "esquire" after your name in 1869 Also in the Court Directory section from same CD HORWOOD, H High Street Chesham HORWOOD, Miss, Hartwell, Aylesbury HORWOOD, W, Aston Clinton, Tring In the Trades Directory, there are no HORWOOD listed under Market Gardeners or Nurseymen, several listed as farmers including Thomas HORWOOD, Manor Farm, Horsendon, Princes Risborough. If you would like the other farmers let me know and I'll send them as well. Not sure if this is much help. I wonder if someone could tell me if there are Monumental Inscriptions for Newport Pagnell, and what cemeteries someone who died in Newport Pagnell would be likely to be buried in. Dates of death are 1896 and 1897 Thank you Linda

Could SKS with access to the 1861 & 71 census please look-up the following? Thomas CHAPMAN born abt. 1808 in either East or Botolph Claydon and his wife Sarah and their family. Many, many thanks Mark
Please Can SKS please tell me what sort of house this was in 1891. It was located in North Marston and on the census there seems to be a lot of young people and a governess. Was it a form of YMCA and if so did they pay their keep? Many thanks Mark
I am looking for a john Horwood born circa: 1823 Paddington, Middlesex. John was born to a Thomas Horwood who was a gardener and although John was born in Paddington Middlesex I believe it is possible that Thomas his father may have come from Buckinghamshire. I know a great deal about John from the time of his first sons birth in 1848 but nothing at all of his early life, I have so far not even been able to find him on the 1841 census. So where was John Horwood in 1841? I have been looking for him for such a very long time I thought I would have one more go on this board. Does anyone know of a John Horwood or Thomas Horwood in or around Buckinghamshire around 1820's - 1850's. I know its not much to go on but that is all I have. Many thanks Annie Bardo
Could SKS who has access to 1891 census please do a lookup for me for a William Charles Masters born about 1886+ possibly in Iver. Many thanks Brenda - Australia
Brenda, The 1891 Bucks census does not show any William or Charles MASTERS of about that age, however if it's of any help, there is a Harry MASTERS age 6, living in Stoke Poges and born in London. He is living with his mother Mary (27), brother John (4) and sister Annie (2). Only William Masters in the 1891 census (ancestry.com, so the index isn't the most reliable) born in Iver is aged 65, living Hillingdon, Middlesex. Butcher. Wife Caroline, 75, b Cowley, Middx. They had a son, also William, age 43, b Cowley Middx, printers compositor, living with them. Where did you get the info from? Do you know of any other family members who he might be living with? The more information you give, the easier it is for others to identify the person you seek.
