I haven't done anything on my Fereday line since, well a long time, just had a look and not sure where he fits in, my Fereday's start at Nancy b abt 1805, married to Richard Cleaver, they lived in Tipton and had children around the time that your william and charlotte did.nancy's parents were Edward Fereday and Isabella Cranney also from tipton. Mellie" Hi Mellie & Wanda, I also have some FEREDAY's in my family tree. My great grandfather, Henry Francis ARNOLD's mother Esther (nee WHILE) died 07 January 1847 @ Low Green, Tipton. when he was less than 2 years old. His father, John ARNOLD, widower 30 yrs, remarried to Rebecca FEREDAY, spinster 24 yrs, on 23 December 1849 @ The Parish Church, Dudley, Worcestershire. On their marriage cert, the fathers are recorded as Isaac ARNOLD (engineer) & Richard FEREDAY, deceased (miner). In 1851 census, John & Rebecca ARNOLD (both born Sedgely, Staffordshire) were living in Waterloo St, Tipton. (1851 Staffordshire Census - HO107/2029 Registration District: Dudley, Sub-Registration District: Tipton, Enumeration District: 1f, Folio 188, Page 39) In 1861 John & Rebecca ARNOLD were living in High St, Tipton, with Henry Francis 15, plus 3 children of their's, Eliza 9, Samuel 4 & Elizabeth 2. (1861 Staffordshire Census - RG9/2041 Registration District: Dudley, Sub-Registration District: Tipton, Enumeration District: 3, Folio 59, Page 5) I wonder if Richard FEREDAY & his daughter Rebecca are related to any of your FEREDAY's? Kind regards, Malcolm Carr (Christchurch, New Zealand) .
