Hi everyone, Hope someone can help. I've been tracing Ann Maria Jeffs, born Darlaston 1854 who married James Brighton in 1874 at All Saints, Moxley. He died in 1878 (age 23) and I think the marriage I found for Ann Maria Brighton to Jabez Lawton in March 1885, West Bromwich, 6B/ 761 is her second marriage. However, in checking the 1891 census, I find no Ann or Ann Maria Lawton. I do find a Jabez Lawton living with his parents, age 38, a widower. Looks like he has 15 & 13 year old children as well as a son Jabez, age 4, so was most likely a second marriage for him as well. (RG 12/ 2278 Folio 76, page 24). I looked at the 1837 site for death of Ann Maria Brighton and found one in March 1886, West Brom., but aged 0. But in June 1889, West Brom., 6B/ 471 there is one which could be age 35, but it could also be age 85. Even increasing the size couldn't help me discern if it is 35 or 85. Is there anyone who has access that could help me determine the age, please? And, if possible, could someone check the marriage? In the 1891 census cited above, Jabez was living in the Eccl. Parish of All Saints, West Brom., so this might be the place of marriage. Hoping someone can help. Thank you, Yards
