Hi Jilly, my great grandfather was gamekeeper to Lord Halifax in Yorkshire and as far as I know all gamekeepers were employed by landowners. Also note that your HENRY PARKER was gamekeeper in Thurlaston. Is that in Leicestershire? I have a Henry Parker son of my 4th great grandfather in Smisby, Leicestershire. Just wondering? Yorkie
