Hi, I have just started having problems with familysearch. At present I am trawling through all the Percivals listed on IGI by just entering the surname and region (British isles) . After I have selected a name to look at, when I click back to the main list it just comes up 'Page Expired' and I cannot return to the main list. Twice today I have gone through over 5,000 names, only to have to return to the beginning to start all over again. As you can imagine, this quickly becomes very frustrating!! Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? Have never had any problem like this in the past. HELP!! Rob of Portsmouth

Hi Rob, I think the LDS changed the search method a couple of months ago. Instead of going back each time you want to look at the results page click on "Search Results" which is on the left above the name you looking at and it takes you back. For example I just tried to look for Louisa Lee - I filled in all the boxes and this took me to the results page, I clicked on the first Louisa and she wasn't the right one so to go back I clicked on Search Results which took me back to all the Louisa Lees. Also if you want to refine your search without keying all the information back in again click on "Refine Search" which is on the top right of the results page. Rob of Portsmouth sounds like the IGI being overloaded by the sheer volume, try splitting the "percivals" into counties, or even further using the hugh wallis site to split them into batches of parish records.
