Hi Nick My Moses Wedge is linked to your Wedge clan as his father Benjamin b 1771 is your Thomas's brother so we share a common line from their backwards, still trying to establish who the father is I think it was Isaac but not 100% certain. I spent two days at the Wolverhampton Archives last year and recorded so many Wedge names and am now trying to link them all. I have a good idea that they originally moved to Bilston from Wellington in Shropshire. It looks very much like all of the Wedge clan in and around Bilston and Sedgley are related but it's a case of who's cat ran up who's entry and they make it worse by using a common set of Christian names. If you have any more info on your line I would be interested and can let you have what I have linked so far. Richard Hooper and also has another marriage to ?(first name unknown) Walkedine. Sarah is daughter of Thomas b.~1796 and Sarah B~1801 The other children they had that I know of are: Eunice (or possibly Ennie) Wedge b.1824 Thomas Wedge b~1834 Joseph Wedge b~1840 I feel sure there may be other children because of the spread of birth years. Is your Moses linked to this family? Area is right and not that common a surname? I have him in all other censuses from 1901 to 1861. I am hoping in 1851 he was with his parents so I can find out who they were. Barry Jones ==== ENG-BLACK-COUNTRY Mailing List ==== The B.C.
