Thanks Patsy, for your email and for all the information to help me look for a connection. I took a look on the 1851 census at your two "brothers" to see if I could spot a link between them for you. As you know husbands often named their first born son after their own fathers. Unfortunately, there was no match on that score here, though it is possible that William and Deborah at 36/37 may well have had a son before the 12yo entered on the census. Each of the two families did have the wife's mother living with them. Now if each would've had the head's own mother living with them..
