Hi Gwynne Thank you so much for your kind offer. This is very much appreciated. There are a couple of lookups if that is ok. I am looking for the WATERHOUSE family of Oldbury living in Langley. I am trying to find out who the parents of THOMAS WATERHOUSE born Oldbury 1828 would be and who his siblings were. I suspect that Thomas's father could have been JAMES WATERHOUSE born Oldbury c1805. I have found James Waterhouse on the 1851 census but as Thomas married a Rachel Adams in 1848 he had obviously left home by 1851, so have been unable to tie them up. I am hoping that one of his siblings may have been a JAMES WATERHOUSE born Oldbury c1836. They could very well be living in the Titford Lane area as this is where they turn up on the census's after 1851. The other lookup I would be grateful for is as to who the occupants of WARLEY HALL/ABBEY at Warley Woods would have been in 1841. I am not sure whether this would come under WARLEY WIGORN or WARLEY SALOP in 1841. I am hoping that this would have been a HUBERT JOHN BARCLAY GALTON born 1789 at Duddeston , Aston, Birmingham, Warwickshire. His wife would be MARY GALTON nee BARCLAY born CLAPHAM, MIDDLESEX. Children would be MARY BARCLAY GALTON born 1816 at Duddeston, Warwickshire, JULIA THERESA GALTON born 1825 at Warley Abbey. The Galton's may have left Warley Abbey by 1841, as I know they left soon after the death of one of their daughter's Diana Erminia Galton in 1840. But would be interested to know who moved into the Abbey after they left, as the estate remained in the hands of the Galton family until early 1900's as they leased the Abbey out to various families after their departure. I am not related to the GALTON family but am doing a project with the children at my daughters' school on the history of the GALTON family and the history of Warley Woods, Warley Abbey and it's various occupants, as this is the centenary celebration year of Warley Woods becoming a people's park in 1906. The only census year I am missing is 1841 to complete the information I have so far found. I have all the census returns for Warley Abbey now from 1851-1901 for the children to use with their project. Any information you are able to give would be most welcome and very much appreciated. Thank you for your time and trouble. Best regards Gay Smallwood
