Mary Ann, Born 28 Feb 1816, bapt. 20 Jun 1816 Joseph, born 2 Mar 1818, Bapt 19 Apl 1818 William, born 25 Jul 1819, bapt. 10 Oct 1819. James, born 20 Sep 1821, bapt 30 Dec 1821. George born 25 Sep 1823, bapt 30 Nov 1823. John born 11 Mar 1825, bapt 10 Feb 1826 Joseph, born 4 Feb 1827, bapt 1 May 1827. Abigail, born 1 May 1830, bapt 27 Jun 1830. Children of George & Sarah COOPER fof Bilston follow on. Sarah born 23 May 1832, bapt 29 Oct 1833. Thomas born 29 Jun 1833, bapt 29 Oct 1833. George born 1 Jan 1835, bapt 8 Jan 1837 Mary born 4 Oct 1836, bapt 8 Jan 1837. There is a note in the transcript that says the chapel in Bilston was founded in 1760 by Independents but it did not thrive. The Baptismal Register started 1785 but some names are missing because of torn edges. Oxford Street Chapel, Bilston was erected in 1822. Opened for Divine Worship March 25 1823. At that time there were about 10 baptisms per year.
