Hi Yardsley, I feel there may well be some connection with my Hickmans and yours. I have a Daniel Hickman born abt 1856 living at 20 North St Brierley Hill with wife Mary A. In 1891.He is a coal miner,and I believe they married at Holy Trinity,Wordsley.I think Mary A was previously HOLDEN. Children : Samuel,Daniel,Sussanah,Job and Thomas. Also,David Hickman born abt 1846 in Kingswinford,also a coal miner,living in 1891 at 2 Hill St,Brierley Hill,with wife Sarah Ann.Children : Emily Holden Clara Holden (daurs of wife,presumably) Hannah Hickman and Phoebe Hickman. I wonder if David and Daniel are the sons of your William and Priscilla? And James Hickman born abt 1845 living in 1891 at 26 North St Brierley Hill with wife Priscilla. Samuel Hickman was the son of Daniel and Mary born abt 1881 and on the 1901 census he is a glass blower.This is the Hickman I am interested in,as I believe he is my great-grandfather,father of my grandmother Elizabeth Wilkinson and possibly also of her older sister Priscilla Wilkinson.Their mother was Louisa Wilkinson,a brickyard labourer.
