Hi All, I am in Brisbane, Aus and have a will of a John Brettell, bricklayer, of Stourbridge who had an eldest son and heir William, a son Samuel and a son John. The son Samuel had two daughters Ann & Elizabeth (all this from the will). I am conducting a one name study on BRETTELL and variants and cannot figure out who this John Brettell, a bricklayer in 1779 was. My own line comes from Halesowen and Romsley areas up until the 1770s then Birmingham and later London (from early 1800s). I wonder if anyone has any idea how I could find out who this John Brettell in Stourbridge in 1779 (the will was proved 1782) was. Thanks heaps. MaryB
