    3. Hi Sam. Walsall Foreign is half of the township of Walsall which is in made up of Walsall Borough and Walsall Foriegn. The Borough part is around 100 acres while the Foreign ( meaning that part of a town that lies outside the parish proper. SOED Definition) has some 8000 acres in the areas surrounding the borough. A better and more detailed explanation can be found at www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/STS/Walsall/Index.html John ----- Original Message ----- From: "Samantha Wiggin" <samantha.wiggin@virgin.net> To: <ENG-BLACK-COUNTRY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, May 28, 2006 10:22 AM Subject: [B.C.] Walsall Foreign > Hello list, > > > > Could someone explain to me what Walsall foreign refers to when given as a > place of birth. > > Many Thanks > > Sam. > > > > ==== ENG-BLACK-COUNTRY Mailing List ==== > The Assistant List Admins are Jean Morgan and Jan Ross > (Couldn't do it without those two great ladies) >
