Hi Gwynne, Thanks for that information.I think this answers my query and confirms that the birth I am researching did in fact occur in the Workhouse. I agree with everyone who is dismayed that Wordsley Hospital is no more.Like so many others,I was born there and have been a patient in recent years where I received the utmost care.
