Thank you to Nancy & John for their messages re Isaiah Burkitt GRIFFITHS b. 1855 Wednesbury; the brother of my husband's Grandfather Isaac Burkitt GRIFFITHS (tube welder). A cousin had told us that Isaiah & Isaac had planned to emigrate to Canada or the US but Isaac's wife Elizabeth refused to leave Staffordshire. Nancy has found Isaiah on the later census so that has put paid to the idea of emigration. It is good to get things sorted. Thanks again Pat.
