    3. Hi Fiona, Thanks for all of your good advice, I will try that next. All the best, Marion ----- Original Message ----- From: FCASKEY@aol.com To: centric@rea-alp.com Sent: Sunday, April 09, 2006 12:23 PM Subject: Re: [B.C.] Patience PARKS/ES b. abt. 1841 Marion, Upton-on-Severn is a wee way away. I would not have thought they would have retired there. Could have moved for work. Do you have Patience marriage cert? Check the witnesses as this may give a clue or some of her brothers/ sisters may provide a clue from the witnesses. You could use the surnames of the witnessess to check against the marriages for Patiences parents. That is all I can think of at the moment. She m. Joseph FOXALL Jun 17, 1860 in RowleyRegis, STS (IGI info.) I am trying to use Patience to trace the maiden name of her mother - Sarah (last name unk.), (PARKES) and had hoped, since she was born after registration began, that this would be the way to trace the Thos. PARKES family in RowleyRegis. She was their last child, going by the UK Census' of the era. There are two deaths listed in the FreBMD for Patience FOXALL, one of them b & d. 1888 - so I guess that might be a baby of the family, and then I found a Patience FOXALL who died aged 63, in 1903, Sep. Qtr. of the WOR reg. Vol 6c. page 148. She died in Upton-On-Severn. I am assuming that is my Patience FOXALL, but who knows? I don't recall now, where Upton-on-Severn is - have you any clue? Maybe they were retired by then, altho' it could be the Patience FOXALL who was born in Solihull, Warwicks? I am at a loss as to how else to try and find the maiden name of Patience' mother! any thoughts? Also if her parents where alive it may have been reported by one the her parents or even a brother or sister which may provide clues. But being down in England may not give a clue to her Mothers maiden name. Should be in Scotland, Mother maiden name given on death cert. What are the death details you have? I do know that most of my family attended St. John's Church in Kates Hill, for many, many years. Most of my family are buried there, so perhaps that's the clue? I may have found her death, would her parents names be on it though?
