    3. Mellie, the reason for posting this is quite simple I'm not gullible enough to fall for it but a lot of people may well be. This is why I gave it the time of day! oh and I didn't follow the link. The more people are made aware of this type of hoax the less they are likely to fall for it. Martin Most Bank websites have info on the hoax emails and where to send them if you receive them so that they can attempt to trace them and find the people responsible, If people bank online they will probably find information as they log in that tells them again about fake emails. I agree that the more that people are aware of such things they may be more likely to avoid getting in to grief with them by giving banking details, most people might even realise that if they dont back online and/or have not given their bank their email address they wouldn't be emailling them in the first place. however, if you either don't bank online in the first place, or receive an email from a bank other than the one you use, the best advice is to ignore it in its entirity, and delete it, or forward it to the real bank's security dept. 3. Strangely enough, a Barclays Bank email has just appeared in one of my alias email inboxes!!! so I scrolled down (before forwarding it to barclays bank security team) and it doesn't say ANYTHING about an amount in an account, however, I would presume that if the link is clicked on, then it would, and the hoaxer/hacker would be relying on peoples greed to think they were going to get moeny form the bank over and above what might be in their account! I also think its most likely that once the link is clicked, you may well have opened back door access to you computer to the hacker so that if you have got any personal details stored he's got them now! moral of the story DON'T CLICK ON THE LINK which is not as interesting as the moral of the story i just sent cassy ROTFL Mellie How Come My Coat Of Arms Has Buckles At The Back?
