Dave, I know nothing about the ill fated trip to Brazil all I have is a line in the Bible that says "Arrived in Philadelphia 20 Feb 1870 from Brazil" I've checked ship records for1869-70-71 but can not fine the record. Would be very interested in the records of this Brazilian trip. One other line in the Bible is the birth record of "Patrick Atlantic Ocean Murphy born 10 April 1868 on board the ship and died.
