    3. Dave thanks for the tour & information. Do you have any information on St. Mary's Chapel it's where my James Murphy & Ellen Flynn where married on the 12th Sept 1858 he was a widower (his first wife could have been Margaret Earley) they were married in the presence of John Fleming and Sarah Child. Is St. Mary's Chapel still there and if anybody out there goes by it and has a digital camera and could E-mail a picture would certainly appreciate it. 3. St. Mary's Ch is actually the second RC church to be built here. The first (built 1852) virtually fell down, the second which is still standing and doesn't look too bad with its' copper spire was built in 1872. I'll try to find an illustration of the original St. Mary's, I haven't got a photograph of it. I will send separately a pic of the current 1872 Ch. The Presbytery however, is the original 1852 version, that didn't fall down, will find something about that. If they married in September 1858 the Priest would have been Fr. George Montgomery an ex-Anglican Irishman. His first ministry was at Kenilworth. Fr. Montgomery was the man who may have inadvertantly been the cause of so many BC folk ending up in PA (USA) via Brazil. Will write to the list about what happened and why later.
