Came across an entry on the 1901 Census for Albert James PARROTT born c.1872 in Rowley Regis as a Superintendent of Travellers. His parents, Edward and Margaret PARROTT, were both teachers and Albert had married Elizabeth BEASLEY (b.1873) who was also from Rowley Regis. Elizabeth's father was a GP in Rowley Regis, so the whole bunch look to be pretty middle class. Has anyone come across Albert's occupation - Superintendent of Travellers and can tell me what this entails. Rita
