My GGGrandfather John Gregory died in Edinburgh leaving a Will dated 1827 which mentions his deceased paternal grandfather Daniel Gregory who passed on a house in Gregory Flats or Folds (old wills are hard to read)to him. Apparently John's Aunt Mary Gregory still remained living there for 1/2d per year!!! I have found a Mary Gregory age 65 in the 1841 census living in Gregory Street. Does anyone know anything about Gregory Flats or Folds or Gregory Street. I can't find any info for Daniel. Hoping someone can help or send me off in the right direction.
