    1. [Black Country] My SIMPSON brick wall with a DAVEY connection
    2. Mrs. Kerry Anne Barter
    3. I am up against a very big brick wall on my SIMPSON family research. I have found my gr,grandfather Henry SIMPSON living at 55 Eva Road in the 1911 census. My brick wall is that I cannot find his marriage to Rachel MORRIS. I know he and Rachel went to America when their daughter Ruth was only one year old - Henry was 22 and Rachel was 19. It appears that Henry's mother Mary accompanied them. They returned to the West Midlands area with another three children who were born in the USA and my grandfather was born in 1881. I have also found from the 1901 and 1911 census that Ruth had married a George DAVEY and in the 1901 census had one child Doris. In the 1911 census Ruth and George had another three children - Thomas (who was registered as George Thomas), William Henry and Lavinia. I would be very grateful if someone could shed some light on this for me as I cannot take my SIMPSON research any further until I can confirm the parents, or at least father of Henry SIMPSON. In grateful anticipation, Kerry from Queensland, Australia
