I have hit a wall harder than a brick one!! I am trying to trace the BMDs of Reginald Cooper Campbell, b. approx. 1896 and Edith Gladys Donachay (or Donachie). I think that they married around 1920. They had 4 children: Walter Raymond Campbell, b. 24.10.1922 Edith Joan Campbell, b. 9.3.1921 Barbara Mary? Campbell, b. 1928 and Patricia Yvonne Campbell, b. 1935 I can find no trace whatsoever of Reginald and Edith. I understand that Edith may have come from 'Up North'. The only posibility I can think of is that they changed their names for some reason. Is there anyone who may be able to help me in solving this puzzle? Rob: No obvious signs of them in England on FreeBMD. But CAMPBELL and DONACHIE are both Scottish surnames, so it's quite likely they will be found there. Have you tried Scottish BMDs? Rob: FreeBMD also has a 5th child: John R. CAMPBELL (DONECHAY), birth registered 1919q2 in Dudley. No sign of an infant death for him.
