Further to my previous email, I have been advised that there is a subscription available to the 1911 census only [I had not delved into my email and only saw the full subscription details - whoops!]. So, my next question is - what is the best coverage of parish records on various sites like Find My Past and Ancestry? Does anyone have any knowledge in this area please? Or is there a comparison website anywhere? Thanks Carol
Carol: Ancestry is starting to put original images of Parish Registers onto its site. Even better, many of them are name indexed. But at the moment the coverage is just London. This is a truly wonderful resource. My wife's mother's family are from London, and it has simply revolutionised the tracing of them. If you have any London ancestors it's well worth the sub (it's a bit more expensive than the basic tier, which is only really of use for the censuses). Doubtless they'll extend it to other places soon.
