    2. Re: Off Gen. Hi, Keith, ?A while since we corresponded. Have you looked up one of the old kellys Directory? That would probably tell you. In the third selection of Tipton in the Britain in Old Photographs series there is a good picture of the Fountain Inn, plus the shop which was two doors down, Bramfords, the stationery shop but nothing in between!! Hope you are keeping well. Anyone familiar with Owen Street Tipton, will know of the dramatic change that took place in the 70's, but left standing was the Fountain Pub, from where the famous Tipton Slasher was known. The Fountain Pub now stands on the corner of Owen Street and Factory Road, this I have known since 1930/40's. My query is that it is now known that during the 1920's there was a building standing (attached) to the left of the Fountain, and that then stood on the corner. Does anyone know what that building was ?? and when and why was it demolished. TIA Thank you.
