    3. Hi I'm trying to find photographs of two Tipton pubs and hope someone out there has a snap-shot or two in their archives. First is the "Union Inn" in Union Street Tipton. This still exists (sadly not as a pub) but has been disfigured. I guess the building is 1920's. i have a cousin who married into the Gamble family who ran it for years but they have no photos either. Second is round the corner in Canal Street, "The Barrel". This is an older pub but the area was redeveloped in the late 1960's when much of Tipton was vandalised by the mindless planners of Sandwell. The Barrel was run by the Walker family and sat between the Vicarage and Canal Street Methodist New Connection Chapel (which was also bulldozed). I've made contact with Tony Hitchmouth who published a collection of pubs on CD but although he's got one photo of the Union I just can't trace any of the Barrel so any help would be greatly appreciated.
