Have searched Ancestry and couldn't find anything except a strange entry for a marriage of a Thomas Franklin in 1874 Birmingham to a Emily Paypell. Strange name. I have looked at the 'original' entry and it is a typed one - so I am just wondering if someone has mis-read or mis-typed an handwritten entry, although I reckon it would take quite a long stretch of the imagination to make that mistake.
