    1. [Black Country] Five Ways, Walsall - anyone know where this is?

    3. Hi all. I've just received a copy of a marriage certificate for two of my ancestors. They married in St. John's church on the Pleck Road, Walsall in 1863, with their residence being shown as Five Ways, Walsall. I've tried to find this on some old maps, without success. Does anyone either know where this is, or can offer me some advice where I might be able to find out. Many thanks, Geoff

    3. Hello Geoff In 1863 the junction where Sutton Road meets Birmingham Road and the other roads that joined this junction were known as Five Ways. In later years Springhill Road was cut making it Sixways Junction. My husband says I should just tell you that Five Ways is now Six Ways. Just a junction of roads. Sutton Road, Birmingham Road, Jesson Road, Lysway Street, Old Birmingham Road and Springhill Road.
