    3. Hi Paul, It depends where your area of interest lies. Ancestry has the PR images and indexes for Warwickshire, London, West Yorkshire and possibly Liverpool (not sure about the latter) while FMP has PR images and indexes for the Manchester area and Cheshire. Both say they are going to add more PR's but don't say when. I use both Ancestry and FMP.and would find it hard to say which one I would give up. 3. Linda I have recently subscribed to Ancestry and a little disappointed that their Parish Records are not as extensive as I would like. Are the records in The Genealogist a vast improvement or just slightly better? 3. Hi Rob The best people for PR transcription are that area Family History Society or the Local History Society for the parish concerned. Also try FreeREG. Are the parishes you are interested in listed in http://www.thegenealogist.co.uk/nameindex/ai_content.php?type=diamond&show_cat=9#coverage_table and if so do they cover the time period you are interested in. 3. Mike Thanks for your information. My interest lies in most of The Black Country so I'm looking mainly for the parishes of Sth Staffs and a few in Nth Worcs. Having looking on your link to the list of parishes, unfortunately Staffordshire doesn't appear, however, I'll try the local History Societies and FreeREG too. Appreciate the advice Rob -----Original Message----- From: eng-black-country-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:eng-black-country-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Mike in Droitwich Sent: 16 November 2011 12:43 To: eng-black-country@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [Black Country] Point me in the right direction Hi Rob The best people for PR transcription are that area Family History Society or the Local History Society for the parish concerned.
