    3. Maggie, I have searched the 1841 census for my Samuel Butler family without success as they could have moved before the census from West Bromwich to Smethwick. Is there an email address for the Smethwick Archives that I could make an inquiry? Thanks for the information on the possible reason I can't locate them.
