Hi All I am wondering if anyone lives near Queensridge Court retirement flats Brandhall for old people, one of the ladies on our list her Mother has gone to live there ,and she is wondering if anyone can give any talks on the Blackcountry to these people I do know that Carol on our list is part of the Oldbury and Langley histroy group and was responible for that great book of our dead War Heroes from Oldbury and Langley in 1 W W but I have not got her email address to get in touch with her Underneath is part of the email I recieved The Matron at this home herself is friends with Carl Chinn and he has kindly donated some of his publications and has offered to do some short talks. However, Carl obviously does a lot of Birmingham stuff and because the flats are in Brandhall, a lot of the residents have stronger Black Country connections. Cassy is well aware that my mom (although born in Middlesbrough) was brought up in Tat Bank, Oldbury and until she moved lived in Causeway GreenI was wondering whether either of you could think of anyone that would be willing to help with "memories" for retired people, some of whom have mild to moderate dementia? So can anyone spare a bit of time to go and talk to these people about the Blackcountry , , I am also sure that anyone who did go would learn allot of info , has these people can remenber things that happened before we where born and what was there before all these housing estates where built and who owned what , Cheers Cassy
