However I've no doubt there would be regional variations across the black country I've always regarded Timothy Spall as doing a Birmingham or perhaps a more general West Midland accent, I don't particularly remember him using any dialect words, but it was some time ago that I last saw the program.     3. No, his character Barry was supposed to be from Wolverhampton. I know that some don't think that's BC but I do, and it certainly isn't Brum. And he did venture an occasional "yo ay"!
