Thank you, Paul. I may not have stated it clearly enough, confused as I am. Eliza Stronach Paris died, and under Occupation it said, "Widow of Enrique Paris, Landed Proprietor of the Convent Weymouth". She died at St. George's Retreat on Ditchling Rd., Burgess Hill, Lewes, Sussex. She was 85 and died in 1910. The institution is now senior citizen homes with some assisted living available. Their website says it started as a mental institution. Her Columbian husband, Enrique Paris, was the son of Simon Bolivar's best friend, a liberator of Columbia and owner of an emerald mine. So the family had money. Maybe he bought the land the convent was on? You may be right that he lived at Convent Weymouth. Or maybe he was the proprietor of the convent and lived in Weymouth? It does say "proprietor of the" May have to remain inscrutable! Lois: I suspect a comma is missing, and that he was a landed prioprietor, whose residence at time of death was "The Convent, Weymouth". Probably the convent had a hospital wing in which he died.
