    3. Hi Aileen If you look at the List image from the page image for 62 Bath Street in FMP It shows 72 Bath St as lock up machinists shop and 73-77 void warehouses. So he don't live there. The Birmingham electoral rolls online don't give any results for Bath St before 1912 Mike Fisher in Droitwich my family tree http://mjfisher.tribalpages.com A durn wrote: > I need advise re electoral registers, > Is it possible to ckeck where my great granddad was between the years 1911 and 1920 > via electoral registers, > I have tried to find him on the 1911 census ever since it was released with no luck > I know he was in Birmingham as there are entries in trade directories > > this is what I have1917 > DURN William, cycle wheel maker 73 1/2 Bath St birmingham > > He dies 1946, > Can anyone help me please > Aileen

    3. Hi Brenda The easiest way is to order the certificates from the GRO (General Register Office). If you find the references on the free FreeBMD website then you can order them via the web direct from the GRO here: http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ and pay for them with a credit or debit card. They cost £9.25 including postage, which is a bargain for you as of course the postage overseas is dearer than inland, but we all pay the same here.... The local Register Offices only charge £9 for a certificate, but they are allowed to add postage on to that, and few have online or credit card facilities - although I do not know specifically about the one holding theWest Bromwich RD registers now. But if you do decide to go down that line you need to find the marriages on http://www.westmidlandsbmd.org.uk/cgi/marrind.cgi?county=westmidlands and click on the Reference link given beside them. This will give you a form to print out to send to the Register Office with the exact reference for them to find the marriages easily - and also tell you where to send it. Good luck Polly ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brenda Perkins" <bperk930@gmail.com> To: <eng-black-country@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 24, 2012 11:21 PM Subject: [Black Country] Obtaining records from the Registrar's Office I know that I should know the answer to this, but I don't.
