Dear listers, I wonder if someone can help me with my elusive Obadiah Asson (or could be Aston, but probably the former). I'm reasonably sure that he was born in or near Tipton in 1801 - ish. His baptism doesn't appear in the parish records for Tipton church, but there's a high chance that he was non-conformist. All the chapel records on the IGI don't go as far back as 1801, and I'm not sure what the alternatives are. The chapels on the IGI don't have a film number. By 1841 Obadiah was married (in Tipton) and living in Darby End, and in 1845 he died, but of course no place of birth.
