Birmingham Archives have copies of all local newspapers. They will perform a search for you but you will have to pay. Any ideas which papers they have. Have been in the library a few times but when asked staff on the 6th floor I was told just B'ham papers. I have now found the info I was looking for concerning a 1939 inquest on a death in Oldbury. It was in the Smethwick weekly news. Do B'ham have that or local papers for Halesowen, Blackheath and Dudley? Gaye

Does Albert ring any bells with you? You may also wish to visit the Rowley Regis Online website - do a Google on "Rowley Regis Online" and you should find it quite easily. By the way, I share your love of Herefordshire. No family ties, but my cousin's wife runs the Post Office in Bromyard! Mind you I have seen a few ghosts, especially after having a wee dram or three, and these days I could do with a new pair of legs. So there could be some connection. Bye now Ted
