Has anyone encountered a couple named Matthew & Hannah Robinson in Black Country parish records from the early-mid 18thCentury? They baptised a daughter, Hannah, in 1725 at St Johns, Halesowen: they were described then as of Warley Wigorn. I assume it was this Hannah (the daughter) who married in Halesowen in 1745 Matthew Robinson was also a witness of a marriage in 1755 at the same church. The bride at this wedding was a Mary Robinson, who may have been his daughter or other relative, though I’ve not discovered her baptism to prove this. Matthew signed the marriage register in a clear, copperplate script. I’ve been unable to discover Matthew’s (or his wife’s) baptism, marriage or burial in records I’ve access to. Thanks for any information Geoff.

Hi I just wonder if there are any listers with access to USA census records who might be able to look something up for me? I'm looking for a James Gordon (no middle names). The details I have are that he was supposedly born on 11th Oct 1884 in Massachusetts (Taunton?). I was hoping someone might be able to check the 1890 or 1900 US Census. Thanks Michael
If anyone is in the Archives at Wolverhampton and have a spare few minutes, would they be kind enough to see if they can find a family living at 9 Bridge Street Bilston in 1879. Elizabeth Adams was there with her daughter Hannah Adams, she was born in May that year. Not sure if there were any Electoral Roles at that point in time. I would be really grateful. Many thanks Paul _________________________________________________________________ View your Twitter and Flickr updates from one place – Learn more! http://clk.atdmt.com/UKM/go/137984870/direct/01/

Hi Everyone Looking for information on an Alfred J Stanyard. aka Jack. My father visited him during World War 11 Bearsdon by Glasgow. My grandfather visited him during World War 1 at Scotstounhill in 1917. he mentions that my father was playing with his grandaughter who he worked out rightly or wrongly to be 4th cousins once removed. My fathers grandmother was Emily Stanyard born Kinswindord Staffordshire 1855 as was her father John.about 1823. Obviously there is a family connection but for the life of me I can't work it out. In a letter Jack/Albert mentions his wife's name is Bessie. He mentions 2 daughters but I won't pass on names as they may still be living. Th eldest was abt 3 in 1917. Perhaps there is someone who has a connection or is better at working these relationships. Cheers Vicki NSW AUSi
