    3. Hi List I was wondering if anyone may have a copy of or know where i could obtain a copy of a book called "Adderbury - A Thousand years of history" by Nicholas Allen published in 1995. I believe it is a excellent book and it mentions my HONE family and has a some photo's of different Hones. So far unable to find a copy here in Australia. Are there any other worthwhile books of the Banbury district that are worth looking at please advise!!! I was also wondering if someone could look at the 1841 census for me for HONE in Banbury/ and Neithrop... Thanks, Mark G (Australia)

    3. Hi Mark, > I was wondering if anyone may have a copy of or know where i could obtain a copy of a book called > "Adderbury - A Thousand years of history" by Nicholas Allen published in 1995. It was first published in hardback by Phillimore & Co Ltd 1995, reprinted 1997 A paperback edition (10 x 8'ish size) was published by Guidon Publishing, Oxford in 2002, price £15.00 (I have this copy) ISBN 0-9543617-0-9 > I believe it is a excellent book and it mentions my HONE family and has a some photo's of different Hones. Yes, it is a very interesting book, some nice old pictures & village maps, also indexed. Has a very good pic of John HONE (1844-1915) & his dog. John was one of the village carriers, obviously he done very well from this as he donated the land & a large sum of money for the building of the Methodist church in Adderbury. > So far unable to find a copy here in Australia. Are there any other worthwhile books of the Banbury district that are worth looking at please advise!!! Lots of good local books available - I should send Rosemary a list for the web site! Mark if you 'search' the Banbury list archives, query HONE, you will find 85 previous mentions for HONE. I'm sure you'll find something of interest ;>) regards Angela :>)

    3. Mark if you go to http://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/SearchEntry and use their search facility you will find three places (in the UK) selling the book. They all appear to offer overseas delivery. When searching just put in the title, the ISBN search didn't work for me. Regards Peter Wharton
