Consequently, it has been decided on health and safety grounds to close The National Archives at Kew on Friday. It will however be open again as usual on Saturday 6 November 2004. All their online services will be available as usual and they apologise for the interruption in their services It is expected that a number of staff at the Family Records Centre in Myddelton Street will take industrial action on Friday. Although it is hoped that the FRC will be open as normal on that day, there are likely to be few staff present to assist customers.
