    3. Hi Robert, I found your mother's story very interesting and I was wondering if we might be related. I am tracing the HONE Family of Sibford Gower/Swalcliffe?Banbury. There appears numerous connections between the Hone and Nicholls families with several marriages. The first was between Edward Nicholls and Mary Hone in 1822 at Swalcliffe. There son William Nicholls married Charlotte Hunt. Also a Hulda Ann Nicholls married a David Hone. Also a Caleb Nichols married into the Hone family. I believe some of the Nicholls family also moved to Warmington. Are we connected!!! 3. Hi all I have both the names HUNT and NICHOLLS in my tree from the Swalcliffe area. John NICHOLLS was bapt in Swalcliffe on 17 May 1795, son of William and Hannah. He married Ann of North Newington, possible marriage below:- 1819 Jan 19 NICHOLLS x John North Newington Banns TAYLOR x Ann North Newington Wit William x NICHOLLS Mary CARTER William BUTLER after 1828 baptisms of their children in Broughton (where NN is included) cease and they moved to Barford, Warks where they had George, William and Ann that I know of. They were in Wasperton, Warks by 1851. Regarding HUNT, this is my main line of research in Sibford/Swalcliffe so I always take an interest when I see the name mentioned. Lots of info on them but no Charlotte as yet. 3. Hi Janet I also have the PRs for Swalcliffe but hadn't looked for Charlotte so thank you for drawing my attention to her. I wonder who her father George was as a quick look in the PRs doesn't locate him. From what you have said though, it seems that Charlotte and her father George originated in another parish. Thanks again for your help. 3. Karen I think I have contacted you before (a long, long time ago now) about the relationship between the HUNT and SODEN families - Sodens from Ledwell circa 1760, Sandford St Martin, Adderbury (etc), then on to Birmingham. I am not up to scratch with research at the moment - family concerns intervene - but I will be in touch shortly. 3. Mark , Thank you for your reply you said >>>> " There appears numerous connections between the Hone and Nicholls families with several marriages. The first was between Edward Nicholls and Mary Hone in 1822 at Swalcliffe." Well , ( I am very new to this , so excuse my way of presenting info ) Edward Nicholls 1798 -1867 married Mary Hone 1795-1846 after her death he remarried to Rachel Cross 1822-1902 I am descended thru that second marriage .... their child Alfred Henry Nicholls born 13/4/ 1853/4? married Emma Hilman (of Epwell ) their child Arthur Nicholls born 1/10/1887 married Ethel Francis Freeman (of Tadmarton ) their child my mother Joyce Margaret Nicholls so Edward Nicholls was my GG Grandfather but I am not related to Mary Hone so the answer is that there is a connection ....but maybe no relation Mark thank you for responding with best regards Robert Kite
