    3. I have just found a very nice book for sale on Ebay which might be of interest to Banburyshire listers - *Calthorpe House, Banbury * - these are the sellers notes:   Eleanor Draper, Potts Printers, Banbury, 1915, HC, 25 pages, b/w plates. Very good with some usual outer wear for its age.   Calthorpe dates back to around 1200 A.D. The author provides a history of the area and the families who resided here over the years. There is information on Sir John Brancestre, the Danvers family, the Copes, Hawtaynes, Dashwoods, Cobbs and Thomas Draper. In addition there is a three page typed manuscript from the Duchess of Cleveland’s book titled Battle Abbey Roll which contains information on the Hawtaynes, also spelled Hauntney, Hawten, Hawtin or Hauteyn, and a family tree showing lineage around 1339 to 1634.   Could be a good little find for somebody !   D.
