*Forwarded on behalf of Colin [email protected] (new member) **I am looking for any information on the Walker family who lived in Swalcliffe, particularly William who was born about 1791at Shutford and was Swalcliffe's village blacksmith. I think that he died between 1841 and 1851 as he appears in the 1841 census but by 1851 his son John has taken over the family business. William's wife Elizabeth nee Hancock is listed as the head of the family in the 1851 census, living in West Shutford, but is classified as a pauper. No record of her seems to appear in any subsequent census, nor can I find any record of her death.* *I would appreciate any help anyone can give to in order for me to fill in these blanks in my family tree.* *Regards* *Colin Jones*
