    3. Ian If you are referring back to my original question, then no, it's definitely not Golden Villa's The image on Ancestry.co.uk is page 54 of 54 and looks like 'Gallendge St' but if the enumerator had crossed his t's and dotted the i it would definitely be Gatteridge. (Selina, by the way, is the very last person!) On Ancestry, page 1 of 54 (to answer Geoff) isn't the enumeration page it's the start of the census and covers Bridge Wharf and Lower Cherwell Wharf. I've never seen Enumerators pages on these searches, just the 'people' of the census. Stepping back through a few pages, the streets are, High Town rd (sic) Britannia St (looks like Brilamma without his t an i completed), Briton Place, Windsor Terrace Regards Neil ----- Original Message ---- From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, 24 August, 2007 11:48:31 PM Subject: Re: [BAN] Selina RANDLE Just a thought. Could it be Golden Villas, or Gold Villas? An abbreviation of Villa is Va. Both were areas of Olde Neithrop, and still are, albeit it is called Goulds Villas now. Both are off of Edmunds Rd. 3. Neil, Sorry if my hint didn't help but the following might! At the top of your image page for Selina you will see the following - "You are here: Search > Census > UK Census Collection > 1871 England Census > Oxfordshire > Neithrop > District 12". If you click on 'Neithrop' you will call up the page which then gives you access to the enumerators pages for all the districts in Neithrop. Click on "View description of enumeration district" and there will appear the description. It's not the only way of getting there but in this case it's the easiest way. (And regardless of all the discussion - It is Gatteridge Street!)
