    3. Hi ?????? Oh that it were that easy <g> If the question was asked about the father being deceased or if the information was volunteered, it may recorded If the question was "what is your fathers name and occupation" the answer could very well be just that Fathers are often recorded without mention of deceased yet are known to be long gone, there are also plenty of occasions where he is recorded as deceased yet found to be very much alive Although you may well be correct in your assumptions about the 1841, as no relationship was recorded its not definite unless you have other information regarding the family relationships Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) None of which helps very much > Richard Randall m Ann Gibbs 1851 - Richards fa. was entered as Charles > Randall Labourer. Would Charles have been entered thus if he was > deceased? I ask as the 1851 UK Census has Richard and his mother living > with "others" . Ann, his mother, is listed as a pauper and Richard as a > mason's labourer. Would this mean Charles had died? In the 1841 Census > the family unit was Charles, Ann (mo), Ricard and sister Anne.
