    1. [BAN] Wills and where to view them
    2. This is not a subject I have had any dealings with, as most of my ancestors didn't have anything to leave in a Will. So, if anyone can help me I would be grateful. Where are copies of old Wills kept? Does it depend on where/when the person lived/died or whatever? I have a rough idea as to when someone died, and I know where they lived. Would that be enough information to be able to view/purchase a copy? Thanks, Ian ________________________________________________________________________ AOL Email goes Mobile! 3. Hi Ian, I'm going to leave the subject of the whys and wherefores of wills to others who will know much more about them than I do! However, there are 5 HUCKIN wills in the 'Index of Probate Records of Oxfordshire 1733-1857 and the Oxfordshire Peculiars 1547-1856' published by the Oxfordshire Record Society. Elisha HUCKIN, Kingham, 1769 (Administration bond) Francis HUCKIN, yeoman, Kingham, 1813 Henry HUCKIN, sack carrier, Kingham, 1755 (Administration bond) John HUCKIN, Kingham, 1747 (Administration bond) William HUCKIN, Chadlington, yeoman, 1820 If any of these look like yours let me know and I'll add the full reference for them Cheers, Rosemary Northumberland UK Email: rosemary@rprobert.co.uk Family History: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rprobert/ Banburyshire Website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~engcbanb/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ irhuckin@aol.com wrote: > > This is not a subject I have had any dealings with, as most of my ancestors didn't have anything to leave in a Will. > So, if anyone can help me I would be grateful. > Where are copies of old Wills kept?
