    3. Hi Banbury Lister Friends, Because of my geographical location I see that many of you were able to beat me to it in replying to the List. I loved the banter between the many welknown stalwarts of this list. I nearly put "Old" stalwarts, but then on reflection thought---"Better not"!!! I have learnt something---never knew that the mini skirt could be also called "a pelmet skirt". I was rather more serious in my youth, a bit of a nerd infact, with my sense of humour there, but buried rather deep! I think that I had got too old for that fashion by the time that it emerged, so never wore it---in anycase most older women look dire in too short a skirt, and my legs are on the short side! Thankyou for some light relief. It never harms our researching to be aware of the humour that can be enjoyed in the findings. Luckily this is a list broadminded enough to appreciate that. (Oh how I do dislike po-faced researchers!). Betty, you have got it right---our men folk have all got more than a touch of "the old Adam" inl their make-up, and it seems that Banburyites are richly endowed in that regard. ;>) Enjoy your summer! It is a lovely sunny winter day here, but a trifle nippy in the shade. Regards, Muriel-----NZ.
