    3. Hi Dennis, Welcome back :>) The marriage entry reads ......... 12/10/1775 Robert CAKEBREAD, bach, otp & Elizabeth Nelder, spin, otp, banns Wit;- John Randle & William Neal (Note-- signs Robert McClelton Cakebread) -- all as written. Although quite a few CAKEBREAD's in the regs for St Mary's Bloxham, Robert & Elizabeth baptise 2 of theirs at the Bloxham & Milton Presbyterian Chapel ........ 24/2/1805 John s of Robert junr. & Elizabeth , of Bloxham 16/11/1810 William s of - as above Nelder's were also around South Newington/Swerford Regards the ridiculous 'lunchtime closing' (12 - 2pm) at Banbury Study Centre (COBS) - this is because they work with the bare minimum of staff & the local council will not provide the funds to employ someone part time to cover breaks/holidays - (although they will waste another few thousand £ on traffic lights, never to be used! Grrrrr!) Anyway, if you mention to the COBS staff you have travelled from a distance outside of Banbury for a days researching, 'most' of them will let you stay through the lunchbreak to continue with what you are doing --- just you won't be able to access the locked/secure bookshelves (make sure you have out what you need by 11.45 ;>) Angela:>) co admin Banbury > Having recently returned to the fray again with regards to my > CAKEBREAD ancestors I visited Banbury Library recently to sort out a > few queries. > > Unfortunately I was caught out by the lunchtime closing in the Local > Studies section and although I returned in the afternoon my > concentration was broken. > > If anyone is visiting the library in the foreseeable future I wonder if I can > ask for a simple look-up in the Bloxham Marriages (red books). > > I forget to check on the marriage dated 12 Oct 1775 between Robert > Cakebread and Elizabeth Nelder at Bloxham (of course).
