Hi All, I am looking for the birth date and parents of ALFRED WRIGHTON believe to have been born in Aynhoe Northamptonshire. He could have been born as late as 1897 back to 1880. He was killed 9th May 1915 WWI his army number was 12835 he was with the Northamptonshire Regiment 1st Battalion his memorial is at Le Touret Panel 28 to 30. That is all I have, any help would be appreciated - we are trying to get complete background information on all our war dead associated with the village. Thanks, Dawn

Hi Dawn I suspect there is a mix up of information on the two Alfred WRIGHTONs who died in WW1 (remember that the information may have been gathered by someone that did not have access to the information we do now) Assuming he is the one from Aynho?
